Dear Jillian,

Here are a few references for fish taphonomy. I only have Lubinski as a PDF. The online archaeological fish resource might be a decent starting point for identification if you are after a general guide although I doubt it will include the correct taxa for you.

Best regards

Dear list,

I am studying Late Pleistocene (freshwater) fish bone from heaths at Lake Mungo, Australia, and are after the best general guide for fish bone identification, and also any general fish taphonomy references? If you have a PDF that would be even better.

Thank you in advance,
Jillian
