I'm interested in including two regions (S1 and S2) in study involving DCM. Although both regions are anatomically and theoretically involved in our paradigm, they do not show significant activation in 1st-level GLM. 

Are there any special considerations I should take into account when selecting these regions? Would I need to create the VOI files in a contrast that does should above-threshold activation?

In terms of selecting them, I plan to use coordinates generated from WFU pickatlas. Is there another more optimal strategy?
