UCL funded PhD studentship in Physical Chemistry/Chemical Physics
Applications are invited for a funded PhD studentship to work in the Department of Chemistry at UCL on a project jointly supervised by Prof. Stephen Price and Dr. Wendy Brown.
The project is funded by the EPSRC and involves building and commissioning a new ultra-high vacuum experiment to investigate the interactions of radicals with surfaces. The PhD student will play a central role in the construction and commissioning of the new experiment. Following the commissioning phase, the PhD student will undertake the first experimental investigations using the new apparatus.
The proposed start date is 1 October 2013, and the funding will support 3 years of PhD study. Applicants should have, or expect to receive, a first or upper second class degree in Chemistry, Chemical Physics or a related discipline. The studentship will cover the successful applicants fees and provides the standard UCL PhD stipend.
Initial expressions of interest, with an accompanying CV, should be addressed to Stephen Price ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>).
