I am the editor of the Medieval and Reformation section of the De Gruyter Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception (EBR). Very occasionally articles come up that need to be written rather quickly. I am presently looking for scholars to write two short articles.
The first one is a rather unusual topic: 'Footwear, Christianity' (700 words). This would cover the period from c. 400 to the present.
The second article is 'Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor' (500-700 words). The aim of the article would be to consider Frederick in relation to the Bible. For example, were there particular biblical texts employed in association with Frederick in chronicles, papal sources, etc? Did Frederick himself have a particular stance on biblical learning?
Both articles would need to be completed within three months.
If you are interested or know someone who might be interested in writing these articles please do contact me off list.
Many thanks indeed,
Carolyn
