medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture I truly thank you, that is simply perfect to me!
Gather ye Rose-buds while ye may,
Old Time is still a flying:
And this same flower that smiles to day,
To morrow will be dying.

apologies for cross-posting
The first results of my recent photographic trip to Italy are now in my online archive. Highlights are the Cimabue Crucifix in Arezzo, Coppo di Marcovaldo's Madonnas in Siena and Florence (the latter in relief with relic cavities), and paintings with inset glass and rock crystal. With these is the Duccio Nativity in the National Gallery in D.C. (in considerably more detail than what is provided by the NGA's web site). This material is all a bit late for early medievalists like me, but still perhaps of interest.
