Calling all teachers and librarians! BBC Radio 2 500 Words Short Story Competition - closes 21 February 2013
The third BBC Radio 2 500 Words competition opens on 21 January and closes at 7pm on 22 February. The Chris Evans Breakfast Show will once again be appealing to children aged 13 and under to compose an original work of fiction in no more than 500 words. There are two categories; one for children aged nine and under and one for those aged between ten and thirteen, with three winners in each category. The learning resources in the 500 Words pack are designed to be used by primary teachers across the UK with activities that can be tailored for children aged 5-12.
