**Apologies for cross-posting** The following full-time vacancy is currently being advertised at the Queen Square Library, UCL Institute of Neurology. - Information Assistant - Ref: 1308694 - Grade: 6 - Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £26,186 - £30,688 per annum The Institute of Neurology is a thriving and successful postgraduate institute of UCL and, together with the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, forms a major international centre at Queen Square for teaching, training and research in neurology and the allied basic and clinical neurosciences. The Queen Square Library is the recognised specialist library for neurology in the University and is a joint resource of both the Institute and Hospital. The post holder will provide a high level of customer service and user support, including the teaching and education functions of Queen Square, maintaining the print journal collections, assisting with training, and staffing the issue and enquiry desk. The post holder may at times be in sole charge of the Library. The post is available immediately. Applicants must be educated to degree level and/or have significant understanding of the student experience, have relevant experience of working in a library, including a sound knowledge of library procedures, and be committed to providing an efficient and effective service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven IT skills, are also required. An interest in medicine and the life sciences is desirable.
