The IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing (DDRS) Section encourages nominations to its Standing Committee (SC) for the term August 2013 - August 2017. Note: DEADLINE 6 FEBRUARY.

If you are interested in serving the international resource sharing community, please consider submitting your name in nomination for the Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Standing Committee. The DDRS SC meets annually at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress and sponsors an open session at each congress. SC members also conduct other committee business via email throughout the year.

The DDRS SC promulgates a number of documents related to international ILL services, including:

·      International Resource Sharing and Document Delivery: Principles and Guidelines for Procedure

·      Guidelines for Best Practice in Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

·      Model National Interlibrary Loan Code

·      IFLA Voucher Scheme

·      IFLA International Loan/Photocopy Request Form

Perhaps most importantly, the SC holds primary responsibility for selecting papers and organizing the program for IFLA's Interlending and Document Supply Conference, a biennial meeting of resource sharing professionals that is held in a different country every other year. The next ILDS conference will be held 16-18 October 2013 in Beijing.
