Hi

Can people please fill in the doodle for choice of conferencing tool for the Storage meeting.

Currently it is a tie … but with most people not caring.
I should close it at 2pm to give time to set up the meeting properly for tomorrow.
(Though I am currently still unable to run koala so that is my battle ahead of the ops mtg).

cheers

Hi

Applogies again for this mornings confusion.

As I said in the meeting, it was a rush when I realised that Jens hadn't said anything about the meeting.
And I couldn't get Koala or Seevough to work (yesterday I used a different laptop in the end but today I didn't have that one) . So for me there was no choice in the 1 min I had.

I also set up the chat meeting a little later than making the indico page - when I realised I hadn't cloned it by default, so it probably only made one for the 6th Feb meeting - not the other ones.
Of course I can / will sort all that out properly for future meetings

If we go that way that is … In the meeting,- I offered to set up a doodle for us to vote on the topic. This is here:
http://www.doodle.com/55dax2ir7b726h2e#table

The poll will close next Tue in time for next weeks meeting.

Various views were expressed in the meeting.
For my part, I actually prefer EVO in terms of technology but the whole of CERN has moved to Vidyo so I _have_ to use that and maintaining two technolgoies is not woking out. Not sure if my current EVO problem will be resolvable - but I am willing to try if the vote goes that way. The fact that some people cannot join EVO because they are not in Janet may be a killer issue for particular meetings,  I added columns where you can indicate if you CANNOT use one or other technology (please don't select that if it is merely inconvinient for you).

Cheers/ thanks

When i opened indico page after Wahid sent email , there was no link to a chat window there.
That was a problem.

If people want to switch to Vidyo it should be organise in a better way than we had it today.

The chat magically appeared a few minutes after I sent the previous mail - I guess the moon moved to the right orientation relative to Venus...

same here.

At least a switch from evo to vidyo shouldn't happen at the last minute.

Hi Wahid,

I'd like to publicly display my annoyance at this autocratic change
of video conference mean. You are the only one who prefers vydio and
you have asked to move 7 people already connected.
