New Vacancy - Site Location Analyst – Retail

Our international Client is urgently looking to appoint a Site Location Analyst to join their Property team to take the lead in helping them identify new sites for store openings across the UK and Europe.
Our Client currently utilises location planning consultancies to assist them in making location decisions but they are keen to bring the function in house and to begin to fully utilise the value of the systems and data they possess in support of their expansion plans.
The appointed candidate will help our client to understand the sales potential of new sites utilising a range of GeoDemographic and consumer data. In addition you will create formal reports for review by the Board to assist them in making key expansion decisions across the UK and Europe.
In addition to office based analysis you will be required from time to time to travel to proposed sites to qualify their potential on the ground.
Our client would also be keen to apply the selected candidate’s GeoDemographic analysis skills to assist the Marketing Department to ensure they are reaching their target audience.
The ideal candidate will possess solid analytical skills gained through (ideally) a couple of years working experience within a location planning or analysis environment but not necessarily limited to retail as our Client is keen to consider candidates who possess the key GeoDemographic Analysis skills from a range of backgrounds.
Essential skills include
· Strong Analysis skills
· Experience of working with a range of GeoDemographic and non spatial data
· Understanding of sales forecasting
· Solid GIS skills
· Highly numerate
· Articulate (verbal & written)
