Colleagues will be saddened to hear of the death of Emeritus Professor James Trainer who was Professor of German at the University of Stirling. The following notice appeared in
the Scotsman on 21st February:
Em. Professor James, MA, Phd, Dlitt"(Bridge of Allan)"On February 10, 2013, died peacefully, after a long illness surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. The funeral wil be held a Logie Kirk, Stirling,
