Marika prepared a document which she asked me to circulate to those who attended the meeting, which I did. I’ll send you a copy, Phil.
I think it has been somewhat taken over by events since.
I will bring to the meeting copies of the consultation document, any responses I am aware of etc.
Opposition is mounting.....

Dear Phil and everyone

It was a very successful meeting, well attended. No minutes were taken but the whole meeting was recorded and can be accessed from the BCA website using a code which you can get by contacting Hakim Adi direct.

There will be a follow-up meeting this Friday 15th February, 5,30 at the BCA. This time we’ll take minutes!
Yes, there is definitely a will to collect resources, and also to campaign against Gove’s curriculum proposals which have now been published (see

page 165 and following  of https://media.education.gov.uk/assets/files/pdf/n/national%20curriculum%20consultation%20-%20framework%20document.pdf ).

Dan and I have both posted our views on BASA Jiscmail.

Subject: New Black Presence Forums

Dear members,
I know I have been a little quiet, death in the family I'm afraid.

Could someone tell me the outcome of the February meeting?  Did it take place, are there any minutes?

Is the group continuing to take further action?

Is there any will to still gather together the Black history resources?

I am creating a forum especially for this purpose.

Any information to update me would be gratefully received.
Thankyou.
