A Working Group has been formed in order to continue the work undertaken by members of the ICA in developing the UDA up to that point. The overall aim of the UDAWG is to encourage awareness of the UDA within the profession but more importantly, amongst those who know little of archives and archivists. Several tools have already been developed in order to facilitate and encourage awareness of the UDA. A poster of the text is available in a number of languages from the ICA website. We plan to have the finished poster available in all five UNESCO languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Russian). A template of the poster graphic is available to accommodate other languages. One aim is to reach 1,000,000 signatures by the next ICA Congress in 2016. There are currently 1837 signatures from 42 countries. Have you signed the Register?
