Assessment of interventions and health technologies is one of the key areas of activity within the HEHTA research group (www.glasgow.ac.uk/hehta). This includes undertaking evidence synthesis, economic and decision modelling, and economic analyses of clinical trial data.
 
 
Research Assistant/Associate

Salary: Research Assistant £26,264-£29,541 or Research Associate £32,267-£36,298 per annum
 
The purpose of these  post is to conduct, present and publish research in the disciplines of health economics and health technology assessment.  In particular, the candidate will primarily contribute to projects:
 
A project funded by the Scottish Chief Scientist’s Office, to assess the likely cost, effects and cost-effectiveness of two intravenous devices for the delivery of chemotherapy.
A project funded by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, to develop an toolkit for assessing the cost effectiveness of HBV, HCV or HIV screening strategies in Europe.
 
Research Assistant/Associate

The purpose of this post is to conduct, present and publish research in the disciplines of health economics and health technology assessment.  In particular, the candidate will primarily contribute to a decision model to assess the long term impacts associated with a short term physical activity intervention in men with the aim of assessing the likely cost, effects and cost-effectiveness of the intervention.
 
 
Both posts have funding available for one year.
