Last week Michael Gove announced that he is abandoning his plans to replace GCSEs with the English Baccalaureate Certificate, and that GCSEs will now be reformed. Performance measures in school league tables will now consist of an eight-subject measure of GCSEs which could include art and music.

Will this change in policy be enough to safeguard the creative arts in schools, and protect the 'pipeline' of creative practitioners from to school to sector?

Join in the debate at the ukadia Annual Conference, 'What's in the Pipeline? Fuelling the creative and cultural economy of the future' on Wednesday 27th February at the Royal College of Art's Dyson Building.

Speakers include:

Sir Peter Scott, Professor of Higher Education, Institute of Education

Feargal Sharkey, former CEO of UK Music and former lead singer of The Undertones

Lord Wood of Anfield, Shadow Minister without Portfolio
