PhD Seminar in Rome, Italy, April 15-19.
Dialogues with the Past: The Nordic Graduate School in Archaeology.

This course explores the relation between variable agrarian strategies and cultural change through time, as well as general methodological and theoretical issues in archaeological studies of agrarian practices.  Though there is an emphasis on Europe, the course will be useful for students interested in agrarian themes, irrespective of area and period.

The course will take place at the Norwegian Institute in Rome. The Graduate School will finance travel, accommodation and supply a daily allowance during the seminar for all participating PhD students.
