Dear All,

First, I must apologise for failing to reply to a number of correspondents on this list. After nearly a month out, I am now back in harness (and actually at City University for a researcher today) so I hope to catch up quickly.

We have a copy of the Guardian article by Michael Morpurgo for the 5th January, which will be stored away here at City for the day when the machines all refuse to show us their treasures.  Until then, I would recommend using Andrew's link, as the piece is well worth your time, (imho, as we say now).

Very best wishes for the New Year,

John

No-one has mentioned it, so, as it's a worthwhile piece, I'll recommend Michael Morpurgo's delightful essay on the Just So Stories in the Guardian 5/1/13.

It's the introduction to a Folio edition of the Stories. Doubtless list subscribers will be buying the Collectors Edition at £445.

best wishes
