The BPS Division of Health Psychology Postgraduate Committee host an annual conference aimed at improving research dissemination and knowledge in the postgraduate community. This year, the conference is to be held at the University of Northampton in the first week of June 2013.

We are currently looking for qualified psychologists to act as speakers at the conference. We are looking to hold workshops from Health Psychologists with knowledge and expertise in the following areas:

·         The Stage 2 qualification: routes to accreditation (both taught and independent)

·         Careers in Health Psychology: those working in practice or academia

·         Studying for a PhD in Health Psychology

·         New and innovative research methods

·         Publication and dissemination of research

·         Teaching Health Psychology

Speakers would be required to hold a workshop lasting approximately 1 hour and would be remunerated for travel expenses up to the value of £100. They would be welcome attend the duration of the two-day conference free of charge. Unfortunately we are unable to offer payment of speaker fees.

The conference is greatly valued by postgraduates for its opportunity to gain more information on research techniques they may use as new career researchers, methods which may improve their current studies and information to help them enter the Health Psychology profession. Speakers have the opportunity to communicate with a range of postgraduates from varying backgrounds and support their future in the discipline.
