Geospatial Sales Consultant

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing business working with high value products and national accounts.  As a member of the sales organisation you will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle for Trimble Imaging solutions with particular emphasis on the Land Mobile solutions and Aerial Mapping.



If you are knowledgeable in GIS, mobile scanning, LiDAR mapping, imaging, or are technologically proficient and are looking to work in this fast growing field and challenging environment then we are interested in you.



Role Description

Developing and delivering new business for Mobile Data Capture, Aerial Mapping and Aerial Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning software for the UK and Ireland. In this key sales role, the successful candidate will be highly motivated, responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, proposals, demonstrations, quotations and closing the sale.

Extensive travel across the UK & Ireland.



Person Specification

*          Bachelor's Degree preferably in a Geomatics related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Geography, Surveying, GIS or Remote Sensing is preferred.

*          Experience selling mapping or engineering services (specifically LiDAR and related imagery), enterprise software or complex hardware systems.

*          Current account manager with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in sales within the major contractor/consultant (or similar) marketplace.

*          Direct LiDAR mapping experience, photogrammetry experience, and experience managing large implementation projects will definitely be considered an asset.

*          Ability to navigate through prospective organizations and politics.

*          Consultative selling skills and demonstrated ability to sell high end solutions.

*          Ability to help customers justify product purchases, project manage a sale and manage relationships through to fulfilment.

*          Excellent presentation skills.

Mapping and GIS Sales Consultant - South East



Position Type: Full Time
Location: South East England
Closing Date: 08/03/2013



Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the sales of Trimble Hand Held GNSS Data Collection solutions for a wide range of applications. You will have experience in GIS Data Collection, Land Surveying or GIS Software solutions.



The right candidate will be a self-starter, with evidence of sales success in a business-to-business sales environment, be ambitious, tenacious and have a 'sense of urgency.' Candidates will have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and outstanding negotiation and presentation abilities at all levels.



Above all you will have the confidence, commitment and ability to sell innovative positioning solutions.  Full Product and Professional External Sales Training will be provided.
