The University of Northampton is seeking to appoint a new Access Ability Team Leader/Disability Co-ordinator.

Access Ability Team Leader
£31,331 - £35,244 per annum

The Access Ability Team in Student Services promotes equality and access to the University of Northampton for all students with disabilities.  The Team operates a drop in service and appointments for disabled students and applicant visits, plus delivering support services for all disabled students at the University.

A Team Leader is required to manage this team.  The role holder will work across the University to further develop policy and procedures to build on the successes to date, and maintain the varied income streams which support this work.  The Access Ability Team Leader will also advise the University on disability issues relating to Equality Act compliance.

The team has 2.1 Disability Officers and around 30 part time Dyslexia and Student Support staff.  The Team Leader will also provide initial assessment of student's disability related needs, strategies and resources and offer advice to teaching and support departments as well as partner colleges.
