An excellent article on how to turn Windows 8 into something which can actually be used, rather than the confusing awkward mess that it actually is (especially for students with SpLD's or older students).

The free tools to add a start menu, get rid of the brain meltingly awful 'Metro' interface, and generally poke Micro$oft in the eye with a big sharp stick are very useful, and I have successfully turned several students new machines into actual computers which they can use.
