Apologies for Cross-Posting

Dear All,

I'm writing with an update on some recent publications that may interest you.

A Special Issue (themed section) that I guest-edited was published recently, on the topic of 'Neoliberal reforms and the Reconfiguration of State Power in the Southern Mediterranean: Implications for local governance' (Mediterranean Politics, Vol. 17 No.3, November 2012.)

The Table of Content is available at: http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/fmed20/17/3

 The articles I authored are:

Bergh, S. I.: 'Introduction: Researching the effects of neoliberal reforms on local governance in the Southern Mediterranean', Mediterranean Politics, Vol. 17 No.3, November 2012, pp. 303-321.Open Access, available at: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/13629395.2012.725299

Bergh, S. I.: ''Inclusive' Neoliberalism, Local Governance Reforms and the Redeployment of State Power: The Case of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) in Morocco', Mediterranean Politics, Vol. 17 No.3, November 2012, pp. 410-426. Open Access, available at: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/13629395.2012.725304

These two articles are both published as Open Access, thanks to the ISS Open Access Fund, so you don't have to be subscribed to the journal in order to read them.

All the eight articles in the Journal Issue will be published as an edited book volume under the title 'The Redeployment of State Power in the Southern Mediterranean: Implications of Neoliberal Reforms for Local Governance' by Routledge this coming September. See: http://www.routledge.com/books/details/9780415835435/

Also, a book chapter of mine on 'Governance Reforms in Morocco - Beyond Electoral Authoritarianism?' was recently published in Governance in the Middle East and North Africa: A Handbook, edited by Abbas Kadhim, Routledge. For details, see: http://www.routledge.com/books/details/9781857435849/

With kind regards,
Sylvia
