CALL FOR PAPERS ------------------------ International Statistical Conference SIS 2013 on Advances in Latent Variables Methods, Models and Applications University of Brescia - June, 19-21 2013 meetings.sis-statistica.org/index.php/sis2013/ALV The International Statistical Conference SIS 2013 focuses on advances in statistical methods and models for analyses with latent variables.Recently, an increasing interest has been devoted to this topic, from both methodological and applied points of view. In fact, the “latent variable approach” allows to effectively model complex real-life phenomena in a wide range of research fields. The aim of this SIS Meeting is to bring together statisticians from different research fields, in order to exchange approaches and experiences related to the analysis of the unobservable variables and the study of the relationships among them. Researchers interested in the current theme of the Meeting are invited to participate. SUBMITTING A CONTRIBUTION A short paper (in English, from 4 to 6 pages) must be submitted to the Scientific Program Committee by February 15, 2013. Guidelines for short paper format are available on the Conference web site. The papers received by the deadline will be peer-reviewed, and the notification of acceptance will be issued by April 30, 2013. Accepted papers will be presented at the Meeting and included in the Book of Short Papers, available to conference attendees. After the SIS 2013 Meeting, a selection of extended papers will be published by Springer in the new book series “Studies in Theoretical and Applied Statistics – Selected papers of the Statistical Societies".
