“Why is that happening now?” and “How can we improve performance” are common questions that all organisations ask themselves. Whether it be sales, customer complaints, production defects, product quality, consumer opinion, staff turnover, overhead costs, stock levels, order fulfilment, policy compliance, supplier performance, waiting times, etc, all organisations want to know the reasons for their current performance and how they can improve it.

A statistical mindset is one of the powerful skills an organisation can have when seeking to improve performance and statisticians have a crucial role to play in bringing this about. Too often though, statisticians fail to realise the importance of their roles in quality & improvement and so in this event, we will bring to life the many roles they can play using a mixture of real life case studies and practical advice.  The seminar will also demonstrate why a career in improving organisational performance can be a smart & rewarding move for a young statistician.

Speakers and titles:
Tony Bendell – “How statisticians can help improve organisations, why they should, how to broaden your own insight &world view, and how to help others to do It”
