Overview -
 
Our client is actively looking for a Statistician to join their cutting edge point-of-care Diagnostics team. They are a young, dynamic and innovative company  who deliver high performance products which can improve the quality of life for millions of people.
 
They have a track record of designing and manufacturing class-leading products and are located in a specially built new facility. At present they are in process of expanding so are looking for candidates to join their core team to help lead development and delivery of an exciting and ambitious portfolio.
 
Responsibilities
 

·         Responsible for statistical aspects of projects, including experimental design, analysis, and presentation of data 

·         Serving as an advisor in study design, sample size estimation, patient randomization, statistical analyses, and interpretation of data

·         Developing study specific procedures for projects as required.

·       Developing statistical analysis plans, including the definition of derived data sets and the design of templates for statistical tables, figures, and/or data listings for clinical summary reports.

·       Collaborating with algorithm development personnel to write programs to select, retrieve, manipulate, edit, and analyse data.

·       Ensuring that complex statistical concepts are explained in a way the client can understand and often advise on strategy.

·       Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of analyses conducted for assigned projects.

·       Monitoring and verifying statistical analysis programs

·       Conducting statistical analyses and interpreting results of these analyses.

·       Writing the statistical methods sections of integrated study reports.

·       Collaborating with development team to determine what data to collect and how it should be gathered - taking into account any ethical and legislative considerations.

·       Designing experiments to improve the quality of new products.

·       Designing surveys and conducting focus groups to gather consumer feedback.

·       Assisting in the preparation and review of statistical input to research proposals.

·       Capable of demonstrating project management and people management skills

     ·       Developing all products in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience: 


·         Strong Statistical processing background

·         Degree approved by the RSS

·         Experience within Clinical Research, Medical Device or related environment

·         In-depth knowledge of study designs, and statistical analysis conventions

·         Development and optimization of calibration algorithms

·         Proven track record in innovative problem solving

·         Matlab Programming skills
