Dear all,

We have a patient that has manganism (blood manganese 105.3 nmol/L (ref range 9.1-23.7).

According to Wiki, "The current mainstay of manganism treatment is levodopa<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levodopa> and chelation<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelation> with EDTA<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EDTA>."

Locally we have no experience at all with this and those treatment options. Does anyone know of a UK centre that has expertise in this?

Many thanks indeed.

Ian
