Dear Friends

True
But its more complex than that-
as was said earlier in reference
the concept "magic" - although a word of Persian ie (non european) origin - it is really re-defined in the Roman world (ie in Europe)
in contradistinction to Roman religion. Hence the whole magic/religion dialectic which is really part of a European dialectic.
The distinction magic/religion is not really part of a eastern or african world view.
The definition of Pagan can be made as the classic opposition between Israel and Egypt.

Maybe Abrahamic is not the right term here -
Christianity is on the face of it an eastern cult which is also re-defined in the Roman/ European
world to become something else.

The use of Ma'atian law code is being reused by people who define themselves as non-Abrahamic and who instead
look to Egyptian and other African centres as basis for their ethical base. Although Roman was for much of its
history a pagan culture it doesn't end that way and is the main persecutor of hermeticism and ancient wisdom -
it is nowadays not the most popular focus for current neopaganis who look instead to
Babylonian, Greece, Egypt -

Hi,

Historical corrections.

Abrahamic  Is ancient near-eastern, not European ethnocentric

Greco-Roman was pagan, hence not dismissive of pagan ideas.
