Last week on firstBASE we
celebrated the anniversary of Edison first recording the human voice (on the 6th
December 1877 fact fans!) with some of the resources held on the site
about broadcasting and recording...from the collections of the British
Library's sound archive and the Marconi Company held at Chelmsford Museums, to
some great books that give an overview home entertainment from wireless to DAB.
Thanks to everyone who
has already signed up and has started contributing to firstBASE - we've had
some great website resources added last week relating to theatre and
concert halls.
Remember, everyone can
