Just to let you know about a new mailing list aimed at museums, galleries and heritage research: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/museumsgalleriesheritageresearch
We hope it will be a place for sharing research, for circulating relevant event and workshop calls, for finding collaborators and for raising and exploring issues raised by partnership working between universities, museums and their publics and communities.
This idea for the list came out of a workshop held in Leeds on 13th November 2012. The workshop – called 'For, With, On: What research do museums, galleries and heritage organisations 'need'?' - aimed to open up the different types and values of research to the sector. Attached here is the short report which came out of the workshop.
