Hi,

We are using IE8 and have had issues with it being slow generally and not bookmarking from our library catalogue, I think this is issues with IE8 and that IE9 should be ok. We are encouraging all our users to use Firefox for the moment as our Uni computers only allow IE8.

Hello Valerie,

Certainly we have issues with academic staff using IE7.

We advise all users to upgrade to a newer version of IE, or to switch to Google Chrome/Firefox.

(Our "old" Windows XP corporate desktop is still using IE7 though is about to be upgraded to IE8. Our "new" Windows 7 corporate desk has IE9
+ Chrome, but not many staff are using it yet).

We have just started to create lists using ASPIRE and have discovered issues which we think are related to Internet Explorer. For example long delays in adding items to lists, items not displaying properly. We think using Firefox as the browser when creating lists resolves some of these issues.
To those libraries who are further down the process of implementing ASPIRE than we are at Stirling - would you agree that IE does cause issues during list creation? Have you experienced any issues with browsers when lists are in use by students ?

Thanks
Valerie Wells
