The LUSGB maps are all of course in the Vision of Britain system -- but
they are all also accessible via Old Maps Online, which should be becoming
an obvious place for students to look for old maps of just about anything
anywhere.

In Vision of Britain, you need to go into our map library, but then select
the "Land Use maps" tab before zooming in on the map viewer, as otherwise
only topographic maps show up in the listing below the map viewer (the "How
to use the map library" tab does explain this):

In Old Maps Online, you just need to zoom in on the place you are
interested in, although land use maps will then be mixed up with
topographic and boundary maps in the results:

This link will get them specifically to maps covering Pudsey:

http://www.oldmapsonline.org/#bbox=-1.707193,53.779241,-1.637155,53.817363&q=&datefrom=1000&dateto=2010

and this one shows maps covering dates between 1930 and 1950, so more
likely to show just LUSGB maps:

Best wishes
