Hi Anna,

We just hosted a webchat on late-night events as part of Museum Practice on the same topic - I have to admit that names didn't come up, but you might be interested in the other answers and the articles that accompany them.

Generally speaking, most museums/galleries seem to call them Lates - not terribly original I know but very clear and familiar to people. For a new venture, that's probably not a bad start.

Best wishes, and happy Christmas,

Subject: Names for a Late Event

Morning GEMmers,

I'm wondering if any of the imaginative minds out there could help us please...

At University of Aberdeen our Museums and Special Collections Centre are working together to programme our first late event specifically for adults. The event will take place in October 2013 and be targeted largely at our student community and other young adults 18-35 years.

We're currently trying to come up with a name for the event. Not a theme name as we're hoping to run a regular programme of these on different themes...but we need an overarching title.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help us please?

Any input gratefully received as always.

Many Thanks
