Subject: The launch of PI's newsletter!

Dear supporters,

We're contacting you because you subscribed to the Privacy International mailing list via our website.

We're delighted to announce that in early 2013 Privacy International will be launching a new monthly newsletter, designed to keep our community of supporters in the loop with all of our activities, campaigns and travels.

After much head-scratching about the best way to deliver this newsletter to you, we've decided to use the MailChimp platform, at least initially. While we would greatly prefer to have our own mail platform with which to communicate with you, at the moment we don't have the capacity or resources to pursue this option. (If you'd like to help us rectify this, please donate<https://www.privacyinternational.org/donate>!) MailChimp is a US-based company whose service we pay for, in exchange for which they promise not to track our emails, or share your personal information, in accordance with their Privacy Policy<http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/>. We'll continue to monitor this to ensure that your privacy is being adequately protected.

Because this involves sharing your email address with MailChimp, we're giving you the choice to opt-in.

Should you wish to receive the newsletter, you can subscribe here<http://eepurl.com/s9rfP>.

We hope you'll choose to remain a part of our community and receive our regular updates. We're looking forward to sharing our first newsletter with you!
