Dr Oliver will speak of her research undertaken since the beginning of the 21st century, to overcome the difficulties in conducting evidence based research in the field of Learning Disability. She will be citing examples of various research studies and their specific ethical and methodological solutions developed to overcome the difficulties. Examples include a paper for the Lancet 2008 about Aggressive Challenging Behaviour (ACB) for People with Learning Disability.
