Hi Clare

I think I have missed the EHRC assessment.  Do you have a link?

Thanks

Hilary

Dear colleagues,

Following the publication of the EHRC’s assessment of how well public authorities in England have met their legal requirements to publish equality information  (part of the specific duties), I am sure that many of you are reviewing your own equality data, particularly in relation to providing employment and service delivery information (where universities were the lowest performers).  You will also be mindful that the next deadline for publishing equality information is 31 January 2013.

ECU has published new guidance on extending diversity monitoring (http://www.ecu.ac.uk/inclusive-practice/extending-diversity-monitoring) which you might find useful.  While the guidance focuses on sexual orientation, religion and belief and gender identity monitoring, many of the tips for introducing new monitoring categories are also useful for encouraging greater disclosure rates for established categories.

If you have any questions please get in touch.

Regards, Clare
