The actual learning object would be downloadable as a zip file from TechDis and the Community site so people could look at the recipe, upload to their own Xerte Toolkit account and then play around with the recipe to adapt to their own learners, subjects etc. Here is the prototype - http://vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xot/play.php?template_id=184 Any advice on how to improve it will be welcomed as always. Once I've got the basic structure right I'll be looking to you lot to contribute some recipes to the recipe book - they don't all have to be in this exact format but I'm looking for things that illustrate * Presenting information for the purpose of building knowledge and understanding * Presenting resources for application of knowledge and analysis (eg some great Vet examples along the lines of "Diagnose this dog" that I've seen) * Presenting resources for the purpose of further synthesising, evaluating (or indeed creating). * Alternative ways of creating self-assessment resources. Yes, it's Bloom's taxonomy again but it's simple and works. I'll be looking at some Quickie recipes that can be flung together from existing text and images etc as well as Cordon Bleu recipes where they take longer to create because audio and video have been cooking away in the background. If you think you have examples that fi any of these I'd be delighted to hear from you.
