Hyd y gwelaf, dyna’r unig ffordd o bleidleisio.

“Members
of both Houses register their vote for or against issues by physically going
into two different areas either side of their debating chambers. This is known
as 'dividing the House', while the areas concerned are 'division lobbies'.
Therefore, a vote is called a 'division'.

“Why
aren't divisions electronic?
Plans
to introduce electronic or mechanical voting systems in Parliament have been
considered but no single alternative gained great support. Also, physically
congregating in the voting lobbies gives the Members a good opportunity to talk
and conduct business with each other in an informal
setting.”

Cytuno
Claire. Dw i'n gwybod mai 'pleidlais' ydy'r ystyr ond mae'n fath arbennig o
bleidlais tydi? Sef, nid pleidlais drwy 'weiddi' na phleidlais 'electronig' ond
pleidlais drwy godi ar eu traed a cherdded i fan arbennig. Dw i ddim yn meddwl
bod rhaid cynnal 'division' bob tro mae 'na bleidlais os yw'r canlyniad yn amlwg
ond ella mod i'n anghywir?

Re: Division - (Ty'r Cyffredin)
Dwi’n meddwl mai ‘pleidlais’ yw ystyr ‘division’ yma.
Gweler http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/business-papers/lords/lords-divisions/
sydd â’r pennawd “Lords
Divisions results “
a lle dywedir wedyn “View
the results of votes in the House of Lords”.
Hefyd dywedir am Dafarn San Steffan “In
common with several other pubs (and indeed restaurants, clubs and shops) in the
area, St. Stephen's Tavern retains a curiosity: a Division Bell mounted on the
wall above the bar. This device, in use for over 150 years, summons Members of
Parliament back to the House of Commons for a vote, or 'division'.”
Felly “heb bleidlais”.

A oes term
swyddogol am 'Division' yn Nhŷ'r Cyffredin.
"Without a
division" yw'r hyn sydd gen i i'w gyfieithu.
Diolch
