e are pleased to invite you to the Open Space annual event at the University of Manchester, which will be running over two days, and will consist of two key events: a guest lecture by Prof Edward Soja on Thursday 15th November; and a panel event on Friday 16th November, where Edward Soja, Prof Erik Swyngedouw, and Prof Andy Merrifield will, we are delighted to announce, also be joined by Prof Maria Kaika. Please see below for timetable of events.

Day 1: Guest lecture
Title: "Regional Urbanization and the End of the Metropolis".
Speaker: Edward Soja, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Urban Planning at UCLA School of Public Affairs
