DCC research data management roadshow

5-6 December 2012

Library and Learning Centre, University of Dundee

http://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/data-management-roadshows/dcc-roadshow-northeast-scotland

We’ve got a great line up of speakers for the DCC roadshow in Dundee.

BBSRC’s Innovator of the Year 2011, Professor Jason Swedlow, will tell us about the Open Microscopy Environment and how this open source imaging software is driving innovation and research across the life sciences.

Anna Clements, chair of the Pure UK User Group, will reflect on several projects with her colleague Scott Brander to explain how research information management systems overlap and integrate with research data management.

Practical lessons will also be shared by Robin Rice and Robin Burgess based on research data management initiatives at their universities. How do you create a research data policy? How do you support researchers to manage and share their data? What happens if people don’t view their work as data?

The DCC will also share recent developments from the sector and run a number of practical sessions to help you improve research data management practice.

If you’re interested in managing and sharing research data, then this FREE event is for you.
