This is Michael Hudson's view of Obama's victory over Romney. Hudson is an eminent economic historian, though at least one historian has claimed that some economic historians enunciate fantasy history. Leaving that aside, Hudson raises some fundamental issues, some of which will inevitably affect the UK, though that is not his concern here. One of the issues is the role that might be played by Elizabeth Warren, so good at talking truth to power in what might become a former life, as it were. Her success or failure could well be a test of the Obama administration in its second chance to effect the change he promise.
 
Yves Smith aka Susan Webber, whose blog this is, doesn't think much of Obama. It would not be an exaggeration to infer from her remarks about him that she thinks Obama to be either a liar or self-deluded.
