Dear Dom,
My understanding when I attended
a UK Science Festivals (Managers )Network meeting earlier this
year, was that the list the group were collating was to list ‘all’ UK science
festivals.
Given that the British Science
Association is publicly-funded I would expect promotion of all UK science
festivals to be within their remit with a web page like that that -- not just
those who have signed up for your managers network.
If it’s the case that all those
who are not part of the managers network are excluded, we’ll focus on those outside
the network with the uksciencefestivals.com website, which will be
published in early December.
Feel free to email me off list
if you wish to discuss further.
Best,
Wynn

Hi Sarah
Good timing!
All the lists that have been mentioned are useful, but as has
been noted, these lists tend to go out of date quite quickly. So...
...the UK Science Festivals Network (which I help co-ordinate)
is about to launch a web page which will list all the Festivals who are part of
the network. It will be updated by the people involved, and so it should stay
up to date relatively effectively... It's going to be hosted by the British
Science Association on their super duper new website. It was only finalised at
a meeting on Monday which is why we haven't shouted about it yet.
Once it's up (i.e. imminently) we'll let everyone know the url,
and how they can get their festival on there.
In the meantime, the pages that have been mentioned are a good
start, and if you want to know more about the UK Science Festivals Network then
by all means give me a shout.
Cheers
Dom

The British Council has a list
for Sci Fests at home – though at first glance there are a few that are
missing:

Does anyone keep an up-to-date list of Science festivals
(UK, Europe, international) on their website/Blog or know of anyone who does?
Many thanks for any help.
