I would ask them directly for some critical feedback, because from this, it just suggests that they didn't have enough money to support all good ideas, so if your's was good, then what was brilliant?

I just heard back from them to say that the application was unsuccessful, which is entirely fair enough. By targeting school children, and through the various collaborative initiatives, this project will be important in encouraging a broad-based participation of local communities and different stakeholders. The outcome of this project may foster both a good working relationship and communication to a wider audience of the intended target group. Projects of this nature should therefore be encouraged and supported."
