Dear List Members,

We are looking for a volunteer professional to join the National Trust’s 'Revolution and Revelation' Project Board.

‘Revolution and Revelation is an £8 million project that aims to transform the visitor experience at Quarry Bank in Cheshire. We will present one complete story, uniting the site so it becomes much more than the sum of its parts and revealing elements that are new, not immediately obvious or easily accessible. We will do this by helping people to make their own connections with the place, from first impression to parting reflection – and in many different ways: sensory, physical, emotional. The project will give the Trust wide strategic returns by changing perceptions, attracting new audiences, delivering great conservation, and increasing member retention and penetration’.

The Project Board is responsible for making decisions and approving changes to the project. It reviews and monitors the performance of the project and delegates responsibility to the Project Manager. We are looking for up to 2 board members who will be able to advise on one or more of the following areas:

1. instigating, leading and managing change in an organisation and / or developing training and development programmes to support this,
2. experience of managing a major visitor destination and / or overseeing a significant project which impacts on the public,
3. engaging local communities in particular, tenants.

What’s in it for you? Board volunteers will gain a unique opportunity to share their skills and experience as part of this flagship project, and be part of creating and preserving a high quality visitor attraction that has significant and lasting legacy for families and individuals across the country.

o	Time commitment: One meeting per month in Manchester or Altrincham
o	Travel and subsistence expenses will be paid
o	Deadline: 30th November 2012
