Hello
David,
We have a children and families scheme in East Sussex, set up by request
with our CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) last year. It is
going well, full list here:
http://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/libraries/booksfilmsmusic/books/goodreads/selfhelpschemefamilies.htm
The CAMHS psychologists are very pleased with the progress and how helpful it
is to them (and GPs) as their own criteria and waiting lists are getting
stricter and longer respectively. For more information do get in touch direct.
Best wishes,
Abi Luthmann

Hi
all
We’ve
begun working with our Public Health team in support of their bibliotherapy
project aimed at 2-13yr olds (very similar to the adult BoP schemes).
They’ve
begun work on building up an appropriate reading list (to cover bullying,
adoption, anger, ADD, death, divorce, drugs, parental illnesses etc.) but if
there’s other examples out there already would be useful in not reinventing.
Has
anybody already got something similar up and in operation and willing to share
booklists, experience etc?
With
thanks
David
