Dear Cristina,

It looks like most of the information resources are region-specific.

As here in Germany I would show
DIN-the German standards, so there should be a Portugese counterpart. Lots of them are also European norms (EN),
We have construction price lists related to the German market, so I am sure you have that for your country
Contracts and other regulations are country-specific as well. As here we have the BBO (building regulations), the VOB (contracting terms for the award of construction performance contracts) and the HOAI (regulations for architects and engineers fees)

Kind regards,

Tina

Betreff: Asking about information resources on construction site management

Dear colleagues,
In our library we're preparing an IL training for a civil engineering course on construction site management, whose aim is to prepare students for their future task of managing efficiently a construction site, on an international context, in all aspects related with it such as:

1. legislation about issues in construction such as: contracts, sustainability, working, noise, profession, salaries, materials, equipment

2. prices of the construction materials, equipment and workers

3. regulations, technical standards, online training, safety issues

4. information on construction (ICT - information and knowledge systems applied to construction management )

Being this the first time we're dealing with such a training request, we would like to ask you for your help on suggestions/ideas about useful information resources/tools in subjects that you might already have dealt with in your work experience.

I may summarize afterwards to the list if it's of general interest.

Many thanks in advance for your help!
