****Apologises for cross-posting***** CILIP South West would like to invite you to Certification, Chartership, Revalidation and beyond seminar on Wednesday 5th December between 10am - 3pm at Tewksbury Public Library, Tea/coffee and cookies will be provided. This event considers the importance of continuous professional development, both in preparing for Certification, Chartership, Revalidation and throughout your career. It is aimed at those who have embarked on the CILIP's Framework of Qualifications process, or who are thinking about it. By the end of the session Improved understanding of how to progress towards the relevant qualification and what you will gain by doing so * Awareness of the Regulations and assessment criteria * An understanding of what constitutes a portfolio and why CILIP requires this for submission for its qualifications * Ideas about how to construct a portfolio and the types of evidence that can be included in it * An enhanced understanding of the benefits of Continuing Professional Development * Awareness of the support networks and information available to help candidates * Confidence to progress towards gaining a CILIP qualification successfully Speakers will include · Michael Martin, Senior Advisor from CILIP's Qualifications and Professional Development Department who will talk about the Certification, Chartership and Revalidation process. · Jane Reynolds, CDG Chartership Support officer will talk about the new CILIP qualifications framework · Lizz Jennings and Nicola Healey will lead sessions which will allow attendees to investigate different methods to achieve all of the CILIP requirements, explore different ways of monitoring your progress, introduce reflective writing and examine successful portfolios. Outline of the day The day will be broken up into two main areas with the morning concentrating on the CILIP guidelines and framework while the afternoon will be more practical and allow attendees to start developing and putting their portfolio together. Cost: There is no cost for the morning session, but there is a charge of £20 for attendees staying in the afternoon.
