I’d be very interested in
attending. We don’t have a bibliometrician here at Leeds but it’s something we
are considering and it would be really useful to find out more about the role
and the demand for services.

Lizzie, thanks for the suggestion of Snowball metrics. I think that would be interesting too, so I shall see if I can find someone to talk about that. Other ideas more than welcome!

I too think this is a great idea. I've recently moved into a new role in the Library which means that my main focus is bibliometrics, and so, like others, I'd find it really useful to learn about what others are doing (and I hope that I could usefully share some of my own experiences).

Hi all,
I’ve just started as the Bibliometrician at the OU and I think that it would be a nice to have a fairly informal meeting of people interested in bibliometrics to share ideas and get to know each other. We would be happy to host (we’re based in Milton Keynes) so would anyone be interested in coming along? What would you be interested to discuss? Any volunteers for speakers J? I guess it would be sometime in the spring to give us a chance to organise it all.
