I use some of the parameters behind from their report look eg. At slides 16-19 in
http://www.slideshare.net/Wowter/publishing-for-impact-elements-for-a-publication-strategy But the ranking is not a ranking in the sense that is it not ranked on impact but rather on publication output.

I may be behind the times here, but I’ve only just discovered the Scimago Institution Rankings (see my blog post

Does anyone know if these are used in any serious fashion by any organisation?
