Elisabeth

I use some of the parameters behind from their report look eg. At slides 16-19 in http://www.slideshare.net/Wowter/publishing-for-impact-elements-for-a-publication-strategy But the ranking is not a ranking in the sense that is it not ranked on impact but rather on publication output.

Subject: Scimago Institution Rankings

Dear colleagues,

I may be behind the times here, but I’ve only just discovered the Scimago Institution Rankings (see my blog post http://openise.wordpress.com/2012/11/27/if-elsevier-ruled-the-world/ ).

Does anyone know if these are used in any serious fashion by any organisation?

Best wishes
Lizzie
