***With apologies for cross-posting*** Maney Publishing and the Editors of Romance Studies <http://maneypublishing.com/index.php/journals/ros/> are delighted to announce the publication of a special double issue entitled 'Realism Revisited', which is available online <http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/maney/ros> . This special issue celebrates the journal's thirtieth anniversary by revisiting the 1982 inaugural issue on the status of the realist novel. Members of the journal's Advisory Board have provided a personal reflection related to their experience with evolving scholarly attitudes to realism, or have traced a historical, literary, or linguistic trend with regard to the realist tradition. The essays provide a rich and varied portrait of the ways in which realism is wide-ranging and flexible. 1.
